Joel is a junior in Sussex, New Jersey. He has been a member of the SAVE Promise Club since his freshman year. He is the Vice President of his SAVE Promise Club this year.
Joel is also the Vice President of his class and is involved in peer counseling, Interact, Peer’s Rejoicing in Drug-Free Environment, and serves as a social media ambassador for his school.

Especially now, during a time of social isolation and distance learning, being able to create a more inclusive environment through Start with Hello activities has been extremely rewarding to me”

Amplifying Youth Voices
In all of his activities, he looks to be sure that inclusion and diversity are major parts of his efforts. Joel looks forward to using his social media savvy to further amplify youth voices as part of his work with the National Youth Advisory Board. He truly believes that empowering his peers is incredibly important and powerful.
