Jordyne is a sophomore at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, North Carolina. She has been a member of her SAVE Promise Club for two years. She is the co-social media coordinator for her Club and uses her creativity to craft messages that will reach more of the students and be impactful.

Jordyne has really enjoyed working on Start With Hello messages when students began to return to the school campus this past spring. This was after almost a year of being away from the campus. The Club created sidewalk chalk messages and other messages that helped the students feel welcomed back to school.

“I hope to be able to make a positive difference in the lives of students. I want to be able to advocate for safer schools, along with more inclusive and diverse ones, as well. Every student should feel like they belong, and that they deserve to be there. I also want them to feel that schools are a safe place to be. Where everyone is welcome.”

She is actively involved in the Key Club, Stu Co, and is working on starting an astronomy club at her school. Jordyne volunteers often for Key Club, usually with food drives, and card making. In the summer, she volunteers at her church for Vacation Bible School. Additionally, she also participates in food drives for the Student Council as well.
