Programs

Programs for Safer and Stronger School Communities.

Evidence-informed. Developmentally Appropriate. Easy Implementation. Often Available at No Cost.

Sandy Hook Promise supports schools, districts, state education agencies, and youth-serving organizations across the United States with practical, easy-to-implement programs that align with character education, bullying prevention, social emotional learning (SEL), multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) standards and frameworks.

Our comprehensive suite of violence prevention programs educates and empowers students, educators, parents and caregivers to play an active role in ending school shootings and other forms of violence by:

  • Building positive school climates where everyone feels a strong sense of belonging.
  • Knowing the signs of potential violence, suicide, or self-harm and sharing concerns with a Trusted Adult.
  • Empowering young people to co-create, lead, and advocate for violence prevention in their own communities.
