We know how important it is to provide meaningful and engaging activities for your students. Our team of former educators has developed grade-appropriate materials that align with Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) competencies. The topics are related to belonging, empathy, connection, violence prevention, and more.
Use these free educator resources, discussion guides, and downloads in your classroom. Empower your students to create kindness and reduce violence. Together, we will create a culture change. This is part of the Sandy Hook Promise to support every educator.

Know the Signs Programs
Research has proven that Sandy Hook Promise’s Know the Signs programs effectively teach youth and adults how to prevent school violence, shootings, and other harmful acts. When students and educators learn how to identify at-risk behaviors and intervene to get help, they are then empowered to help keep schools and communities safe.
Each program offers 30 to 40 minutes of student training that can be delivered in-person or online. Our programs are CASEL-aligned for Social-Emotional Learning, including relationship skills, social awareness, responsible decision-making and self-awareness. All training and resource materials are provided at no cost and are accessible on-demand via our Learning Center.
