This guide brings the Start With Hello message beyond schools and into homes, encouraging families to build a culture of connection and kindness. It supports Sandy Hook Promise’s mission to empower youth and families to be Upstanders and speak out against violence. Centered on restorative practices and social-emotional well-being, the activities help strengthen relationships, social awareness, and self-awareness.
Sandy Hook Promise offers interactive trainings, slide deck presentations, and student workbooks to accompany trainings. Student trainings are made accessible for grades K-12 and are offered with multiple supports and languages.
