Jumpstart the Start With Hello movement in your school community.
Each year, thousands of schools and youth organizations nationwide participate in Start With Hello Week, a national annual event dedicated to making new social connections and creating a sense of belonging among youth.
Start With Hello Week is open to any school or community organization that wants to celebrate the importance of kindness and belonging, inspired by our Start With Hello program. This proven, no-cost program teaches students how to look for the signs of social isolation and increase inclusivity and empathy with their classmates.
After registering, you’ll receive an email that directs you to your resources, including a planning guide for your school and students with suggested activities for every day of Start With Hello Week.
You’ll also get special updates on activities and educational events taking place during the week.
Registration typically opens in the summer.
There are so many ways to share with educators, students, and the whole Sandy Hook Promise community. Use your social media toolkit with ready-to-use graphics, sample posts, and profile photo frames to promote your Start With Hello activities. Be sure to use the official campaign hashtags: #StartWithHello and #StartWithHelloWeek.
